Manage Subscription
Billing applies to Sitepins Cloud only. Self-hosted installs have no subscription. See Self-Hosting.
Billing in the account menu, or Cmd+K and search for βbillingβ.
Upgrading
The billing page shows every plan with three billing periods:
- Monthly
- Yearly β discounted against monthly
- Lifetime β a one-time payment
Pick a plan and period, then continue to checkout. Payment is processed by Stripe (sold through Link), which handles the transaction and adds any applicable tax at checkout. New monthly and yearly subscriptions start with a 7-day free trial β nothing is charged until it ends, and you only get one trial per account.
Changing Plan or Billing Period
Already subscribed? Pick a different plan or switch between monthly and yearly on the billing page and confirm. The change applies right away: an upgrade charges only the difference for the rest of the current period, and a downgrade turns the unused part into credit for future invoices. If the payment for an upgrade doesnβt go through, your plan stays as it was.
Buying a lifetime plan while subscribed cancels the subscription immediately; the unused time on it isnβt refunded.
New features are available as soon as the payment goes through. If the plan doesnβt seem to have changed, give it a moment and reload β the billing page re-checks automatically for a short while after checkout.
Payment History
The Overview page lists every payment with its date, package, amount, and status.
Statuses you may see: completed, pending, failed, cancelled, refunded.
Updating Your Payment Method
Click Update Payment Method on the billing page. This opens Stripeβs secure billing page. Under Current subscription, click the pencil next to the card and choose or add the card your renewals should use β adding a card under Payment methods alone doesnβt change the subscriptionβs card.
Do this before your renewal date if your card is expiring.
If a Payment Fails
The billing page shows Your last payment failed with a Pay invoice button, and a reminder appears in the sidebar. Pay the open invoice with a working card, then update the subscriptionβs card as above so the next renewal goes through. Your plan stays active while the payment is retried; if it keeps failing, the subscription is eventually cancelled and the account downgrades.
Cancelling
Click Cancel Subscription and confirm.
What happens:
- You keep access until the end of the period youβve already paid for. Cancelling doesnβt cut you off immediately.
- No further charges are made.
- Your data is preserved. Projects, schemas, snippets, and settings stay where they are.
- You can change your mind. Until the period ends, the billing page shows Resume subscription, which keeps your plan and its renewal date. After it ends, you can subscribe again.
When the paid period ends, the account falls back to the free Hobby limits (accounts created before October 1, 2026) or to no sites (newer accounts). If youβre over them, Sitepins archives the excess rather than deleting it β see Plans & Limits.
Your Git repositories and all their content are unaffected by any of this.
Lifetime Plans
A lifetime plan is a one-time payment with no renewal, so thereβs nothing to cancel or update. It doesnβt appear as a recurring subscription.
Usage Meters
The Overview page shows how much of your plan youβre using:
- Organizations β organizations you own, against your limit
- Sites β non-archived projects across those organizations
- Users per Org β distinct members across your organizations
Meters shift colour as you approach a limit. Archiving a project or organization frees its slot immediately.
Enterprise
Enterprise pricing is arranged directly β the plan card links to contactΒ rather than a checkout.
Billing Questions
Receipts and invoices are emailed to you by Link, which acts as the merchant of record for Sitepins payments. For refunds, VAT, or a payment problem, contact supportΒ .
Subscribed before the payment provider change?
If you see Action needed: move your subscription on the billing page, click Move my subscription and re-add your card. Nothing is charged until the date your current plan would have renewed, and thereβs no free trial on a move.
