Go to app.sitepins.com to create an account. There are two ways in.

Sign Up with Email

  1. Open the Register page.
  2. Fill in Full Name, Email, and Password.
  3. Pick your Profession — this helps Sitepins tailor onboarding.
  4. Optionally opt into product updates.
  5. Accept the Terms and Privacy Policy, then submit.

Verify with a 6-digit code

Sitepins emails you a 6-digit verification code. Enter it on the verification screen to activate your account.

  • The code expires after a short window. If it does, request a new one from the same screen.
  • You get three attempts per code before you need a fresh one.
  • Once verified, you’re signed in automatically — no second login step.

Sitepins used to send a verification link. That’s been replaced by the 6-digit code, which is faster and doesn’t break when your email client rewrites URLs. If you’re looking for a link in your inbox, look for the code instead.

Sign Up with GitHub or Google

Click Continue with GitHub or Continue with Google on the login or register page. No password or email verification step is needed.

Account linking is automatic. If you sign up with Google and later sign in with a GitHub account that uses the same email address, both resolve to one Sitepins account rather than creating a duplicate.

Social-only accounts have no password. To add one, go to Account → Set Password (see Profile & Security).

Signing In with GitHub Is Not Repository Access

This trips people up, so it’s worth stating plainly:

  • Signing in with GitHub authenticates you. It tells Sitepins who you are.
  • Connecting a repository is a separate step where you install the Sitepins GitHub App (or authorize the GitLab OAuth app) and choose which repositories it can read and write.

You can sign in with Google and still connect GitHub repositories. You can sign in with GitHub and still need to install the App before any repo shows up. The two are independent, and the repository connection is what actually grants file access.

Forgot Your Password

  1. Click Forgot password? on the login screen.
  2. Enter your email address.
  3. Open the reset email and follow the link.

The reset link is valid for 15 minutes. After that you’ll see an expired-link screen with a Request again button.

If your account was created through Google or GitHub and has never had a password, use Set Password from your account settings instead — there’s nothing to reset yet.

A Few Setup Questions

The first time you sign in to Sitepins Cloud, you’ll answer five short questions:

  1. How you plan to use Sitepins — for yourself, for clients, or for a team
  2. Your technical background
  3. Which static site generators you use
  4. How many people will be editing content
  5. How you found Sitepins

They take a few seconds and shape the suggestions you see afterwards. This step is specific to Sitepins Cloud; self-hosted installs skip it.
